1BN RECEIVES ELECTRICAL ITEMS DONATION

by Kofi Ampeah Woode

Mr Ebenezer Amanor Dautey – the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zion Electricals Limited, has donated electrical items worth Fifteen Thousand Cedis (GHS 15,000), to Ghana Army’s (GA) 1 Infantry Battalion (1Bn), for the complete electrical wiring of the Unit’s extension works of the AGBAWU Female Young Soldiers’ Accommodation block.

Presenting the items to the Commanding Officer (CO), 1Bn – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Dominic Ampomah, on Tuesday 9 May 2023, at the Michel Camp Barracks, Mr Dautey called on all who have the means, not to ‘leave everything’ concerning the needs of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), for the Central Government alone to bear it.

Receiving the items, Lt Col Ampomah affirmed the CEO’s clarion call to all and particularly to the corporate world, to support the Government in solving identified problems of GAF, adding that, as commanders of Units, it is also part of their responsibilities to mobilize resources that can be garnered to complement the efforts of the State and Military High Command.

He thus called for similar support for other projects that are being undertaken by 1Bn, such as their auditorium project – which is at the lintel level now, accommodation for Officers, and fixing of street lights in the barracks.

Zion Electricals, which has 3 branches, with the main branch located on the Motorway Roundabout – Michel Camp Road, deals in all electrical products, and is the sole distributor for NEXAN CABLEMETAL and TROPICAL CABLES.

Items donated include; assorted coils of CabelMetal cables, yards of flexible wire, sockets, switches, angle holders, straight holders, an earth rod, ceiling glass light, bulbs, tower clips, insulation tapes, tapping screws, Bajaj ceiling fans, and fan hooks.
