2024 TEACHER AWARD WINNER PRESENTS AWARD TO GOC C/COMD

Ghana’s 2024 National Best Teacher 1st Runner-Up – Mr Richard Kojo Adomako who teaches at 4 Garrison Basic School has presented his prize of a car to the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Central Command (C/COMD) – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Michael Kwadwo Opoku.

Mr Adomako – who won the award at the Teachers’ Awards Night held at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, presented it to his GOC at his office on Tuesday 8 October 2024.

Brig Gen MK Opoku, receiving him at his office, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to him for projecting the image of the school, and to a large extent, the image of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

He advised him to use the knowledge gained to impact more positively on his students, and to also soar high in his field of endeavour, so that the nation would fully derive his benefit.

Present at the presentation were the Command Operations Officer – Colonel (Col) Henry Ansah-Akrofi; Command Logistics Officer – Col John Frempong-Manso; 4 Garrison Education Officer – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Robert Laryea Okoley; Commanding Officer, 87 Signal Regiment – Lt Col John Majeed Baluo; Command Chaplain – Lt Col Gustafson Asamoah; Command Sergeant Major – Senior Warrant Officer Class One Kalasi Daniel, and some school heads.
