Ghana Army’s 2 Infantry Battalion (2Bn) has held its 2nd edition of an annual praise and worship service dubbed MYOHAUNG PRAISE, to glorify the Almighty God for his benevolence and peace upon the Battalion, and members of various Security Services of Ghana.
Myohaung Praise 2024 was held in Takoradi on 13 September 2024, and featured artistes such as Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Kofi Sarpong as the main artiste, with other singers including Baaba Eunice, Faith Essien, and Minister Benjamin Conduah.

In his welcome remarks, the Commanding Officer (CO), 2Bn – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Daniel Atobrah Bondah, said Myohaung Praise seeks to glorify God for His benevolence and peace upon 2Bn, various Security Services personnel, and the entire country, acknowledging the relevance of God in the affairs of men, with a quote “without God, men can do nothing”.
The Guest of Honour for the event, who is also Flag Officer Commanding (FOC), Western Naval Command (WNC), and 2 Garrison Commander – Commodore (Cdre) Emmanuel Ayesu Kwafo, called on the general public to discard the negative stereotyped character traits that are associated with soldiers and members of the Security Services.

He used biblical quotations and narrations to demonstrate the faith and religiosity of soldiers, and urged all troops to be morally upright and professional, when discharging their duties, and thanked Lt Col DA Bondah, and the organizers of the programme, for uniting the security services with the general public in worship and prayer, for the peace and development of Ghana.
Commander (Cdr) Quayson – Chaplain, Ghana Navy Headquarters, delivered the sermon for the event on the theme “O’ come, let us sing unto the Lord”, and encouraged the gathering to be grateful to Almighty God for the peace in Ghana, urging the gathering to foster unity in their communities and workplaces, and to always live in peace with one another.


The programme was patronized by personnel of 2Bn, WNC, Air Force Base, Takoradi, other Security Services, various religious bodies, government officials, traditional rulers, friends from Corporate Ghana and the general public.
