The 4 Medical Reception Station (4MRS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has organized a breast cancer awareness campaign for personnel and their families at 4 Garrison on Friday, 25 October, 2024.
The event was held at the OB Akwa auditorium where participants engaged in informative health talks and breast screening exercises.
The Principal Medwife of 4MRS – Flight Lieutenant (Flt/Lt) Georgina Asamoah spoke of the seriousness of breast cancer during her educational session, and urged attendees to seek immediate medical attention, if they notice any changes in their breasts.
Flt/Lt Asamoah highlighted the importance of regular examinations, recommending that individuals conduct monthly self-exams to detect any signs of concern early and report them to a health facility.
