The 6 Garrison of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) observed the annual Security Services National Day of Prayer at the Church of Pentecost in Kamina Barracks, Tamale.
The event, on Thursday 19 September 2024, themed, “Pray for the well-being of Ghana and it shall be well with you,” united personnel from the various security services and their families in a collective prayer for the Ghana’s Peace and Security.

In a keynote address delivered on behalf of the General Officer Commanding, Northern Command – Brigadier General Frank Nartey Tei, the Command Operations Officer – Colonel Frank Gyebi-Abrokwah, underscored the significance of the occasion.
He stated that, the service which symbolizes unity as a nation and a collective strength of GAF, was held simultaneously across all the garrisons of the Armed Forces, and that it is an essential role of security services, in maintaining Ghana’s stability, and reminded attendees of the importance of unity, vigilance, and prayer in their duties.
“Our responsibilities as members of the Armed Forces require vigilance, strength, and courage,” Colonel F Gyebi-Abrokwah stated, and called on the congregation to embrace the values that sustain peace, and to pray for strength to protect the vulnerable, and courage to stand for justice even in difficult times.

The Guest Preacher, Reverend Lewis Prince Fiadzoe of the International Central Gospel Church, urged service personnel to remain prayerful,l and encouraged the congregation to stay committed to their faith, especially in such a demanding environment.
