66 ARTY REGT, ARTY TRAINING SCH CELEBRATE JOINT WASSA ‘24

The Commander, 16 Artillery Brigade (16 Arty Bde) – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Selorm Kwesi Amengor, has admonished troops of 66 Artillery Regiment (66 Arty Regt) and Artillery Training School (ATRS), to act professionally when discharging their duties with sister security services.

Brig Gen Amengor as the Guest of Honour at the joint 66 Arty Regt and the Artillery Training School (ATRS) West African Soldiers Social Activities (WASSA) on Wednesday 22 January 2025 in Ho, Volta Region, commended the Commanding Officers (CO) of 66 Arty Regt, and ATRS – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Jalali Din Ibrahim, and Lt Col Patrick Atuiri, for the developmental projects carried out in both barracks.

He also praised Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff of the 2 Units for their exceptional performance in their discharge of duties in 2024, and for ensuring peace and security during the 2024 general elections in the Volta and Oti Regions.

The CO, 66 Arty Regt – Lt Col Jalali Din Ibrahim, commended Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff of the two Units for their unwavering dedication to duty and service, and charged them to remain committed to duty, uphold the spirit of teamwork, demonstrate ever-readiness, and a high sense of professionalism.

The event was climaxed with presentation of awards to personnel recognized for their hard work and commitment over the years.

Dignitaries in attendance included Col Cyril Neku (Rtd) – former CO, 66 Arty Regt; Col George Dottey – Deputy Commander, 16 Arty Bde; and Lt Col Felix Opoku – General Staff Officer Grade 1 (GSO1), 16 Arty Bde.
