Ghana Army’s 66 Artillery Regiment (66 Arty Regt) and the Artillery Training School (ATRS) held a two-day fun games to climax their end-of-2024 activities in Volta Barracks, Ho, in the Volta Region of Ghana.
As part of the events lined up on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 January 2025, the various Batteries in the Regiment, ATRS, Defence Civilian Staff and wives of soldiers participated in football and volleyball games.

The Commanding Officer, 66 Arty Regt – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Jalali Din Ibrahim expressed how impressed he was with the teamwork exhibited during the event, and advised troops to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of their duties at all times.
Lt Col Patrick Aturi – CO, ATRS, was also present and witnessed the games and the presentation of awards of trophies and assorted drinks to teams that excelled in the games.

Ghana army needs at least one tank or a fighter jet. And we should be having drone pilots and weaponized drones by now. We’re a big boy in Africa, and it should reflect in our military
