As part of the Yuletide celebrations, Ghana Army’s 66 Artillery Regiment (66 Arty Regt), and Artillery Training School (ATRS), have jointly held the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols service, to herald the 2024 Christmas merriments.

In a sermon delivered by Reverend Father Major Owusu – Senior Chaplain, 7 Garrison, on Monday 23 December 2024, at the St Ignatius Catholic Church, Ho, he highlighted the importance of giving during Christmas season, reminding troops that the essence of the celebrations is peace, love and unity, and to express compassion to the poor and needy in society.

The Commanding Officer (CO), 66 Artillery Regiment – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Jalali Din Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for how far He has brought the Unit, and reminded troops of the virtues of peace, selflessness and sacrifice that resonate deeply with values as military personnel.

He admonished troops to continue to exhibit high sense of professionalism during the festive season and the coming year, and encouraged them to continue to be each other’s keeper, showing kindness and generosity wherever possible.

The colourful service was with melodious carols performances from various batteries of the Regiment, such as the Artillery Training School Choir, the Civilian Establishment Choir, and various church choirs under the Garrison.
