COMMANDER, 15 ARMD BDE PAYS MAIDEN VISIT TO 154, 155 ARMD REGTS & ATS

The Brigade Commander 15 Armoured Brigade – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Frank Nartey Tei, has toured 154 Armoured Regiment (154 Armd Regt), Armoured Training School (ATS) in Sunyani, Bono Region, and the 155 Armd Regt, Damango, in the Savannah Region.

The visit which took place on Tuesday 27 May and Friday 30 May 2025, was to introduce the Brigade Commander to troops under his command, outline his vision and mission, and gain first-hand insights into their operational requirements and challenges of the Regiments, and the Training School.

The visit also underscored his commitment to ensure that, facilities and logistics support are in place to meet the demands of military operations.

The Brigade Commander was welcomed with a Guard of Honour, after which he received a comprehensive briefing from the Commander Rear (Comd/R) 154, and Commanding Officer (CO), ATS – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Lambert Alageyia Ajebaworoni, and CO, 155 Armd Regt – Lt Col Peter Afrah, at their respective Regiments.

The brief included the operational structure, training programmes, equipment maintenance, administrative needs, logistical capabilities and welfare measures implemented within the Regiment.

In his address following the briefing, Brig Gen FN Tei reiterated the Brigade’s commitment to providing the necessary resources and support, to optimize operational effectiveness across the Regiments.

As part of his tour, Brig Gen Tei inspected the progress of work of the construction of the Brigade Headquarters in Sunyani, and also inspected key installations, facilities and on-going projects in the various Regiments.

His visit was crowned with an All Ranks Durbar, which provided the opportunity for open dialogue, allowing troops to express their concerns.

He commended the Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff for their professionalism, hard work and dedication to the Regiment, in spite of various operational challenges, reaffirmed his support for their welfare and operational needs, and urged troops to give out their utmost best, to achieve a common goal for the betterment of the Brigade.
