The Brigade Commander 15 Armoured Brigade (15 Armd Bde) – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Frank Nartey Tei, has paid a familiarization visit to 153 Armoured Regiment (153 Armd Regt) at Burma Camp, as part of his operational schedule to Units under the Brigade.
The visit which took place on Thursday 19 June 2025, was to introduce the Brigade Commander to troops under his command, outline his vision and mission, and gain first – hand insights into their operational, administrative and logistical requirements, as well as challenges of the Regiment.

The visit also highlighted his commitment to ensure that, facilities and logistics support are in place to meet the demands of military operations.
The Brigade Commander was welcomed with a Guard of Honour, after which he received a comprehensive briefing from the Commanding Officer, 153 Armd Regt – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) David Kwesi Korsah.
The brief included the operational matters, training, equipment maintenance, administrative and logistical issues as well as welfare schemes implemented within the Regiment.

Brig Gen FN Tei reaffirmed the Brigade Headquarters and High Command’s commitment to providing the necessary resources and support, to optimize operational effectiveness of the Regiment.
As part of his visit, Brig Gen FN Tei inspected various guard points, barracks, key installations and the Mounted Squadron of 153 Armd Regt.
His familiarization visit was crowned with an interaction with All-Ranks, which provided a chance for free discussion, allowing troops to express their concerns.

He advised troops on Information Security, Road Traffic Accident, Sports Betting, Alcohol and Substance Abuse, Discipline and adherence to Ghana Armed Forces Dress Regulation.
He commended the CO, Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff for their professionalism, hard work and dedication to the Regiment.

He reassured his support towards their welfare and operational needs, and also urged troops to give their maximum best, to attain a common goal for the betterment of the Brigade.
