Ghana Army’s Combat Training School (ACTS) has officially commenced its Basic Mortar, Basic Medium Machine Gun, and Basic Infantry Platoon Weapons Courses 1/25, to help lay a solid foundation for selected Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), as they begin their career development.
The 12-week training which opened on Monday, 4 August 2025, at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Hall, Whistler Barracks, Teshie, is designed to enhance combat effectiveness through intensive instruction in Key Infantry Weapon Systems.

In his opening remarks, the Commander, ACTS – Colonel (Col) Robert Narh (affectionately referred to as COMBAT EXPERT 1), highlighted the importance of the weapon courses as solid fundamentals for NCOs, in their military career development.
Participants for the courses were drawn from all three Services of GAF: the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
