ADM YAKUBU AT ITALIA SEAFUTURE ‘23

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Rear Admiral (R/Adm) Issah Adam Yakubu has participated in the 8th Edition of SEAFUTURE 2023 – a 4-day Italian Defence Conference and Exhibition business convention for maritime practitioners.

Admiral Yakubu was one of the guest participants at the sessions and seminars of the international conference on Defence and Exhibition held from 5 to 8 June, 2023, which was deemed unique in the Mediterranean Basin as it took place at the Naval Base in the Port City of La Spezia, in the Liguria Region of Italy.

Seafuture ’23 considered the hub on the Mediterranean Sea for the Blue Economy, treated topics such as Dual Use, Refitting Green Technology, Maritime Security and Safety, Electronic Warfare-Cyber Defence, Cyber Security, Research and Development, Communication Information and Navigation Systems, Underwater, Defence Technology, new Naval Technologies and latest Innovations, under the Marine, Defence, Security, Underwater, Green and Blue Innovation, Environmental Sustainability sectors.

An estimated over 35,000 participants were at the conference and exhibition from over 60 military delegations from Europe, Africa and Asia, Italian Navy and 70 foreign delegations, 250 registered companies, Small and Medium Enterprises, Universities, Research Institutes, Technology Clusters, Marine Institutions, with 7 National Pavilions.

There were also social and networking events, visits on board new and to-be-dismissed Italian Navy Ships, and bilateral meetings with Italian Defence Fields.
