A brief indoor handing/taking over ceremony was successfully held at high noon, Tuesday 8th January, 2019 at the General Headquarters of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), for the outgone Chief of Staff (COS) – Rear/Admiral (R/Adm) Moses Beick-Baffour and the new Chief Of Staff (COS) – Brigadier-General (Brg-Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah.

The ceremony was witnessed by many of the Directors-General (DGs) at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp and followed with the showing around of the facilities at the Command of the COS to Brg-Gen Oppong-Peprah.

The ceremony marked the end of service of Admiral Beick-Baffour as COS but not his service to GAF, for he has assumed office at the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC), as the Commandant.

Admiral Beick-Baffour has endeared himself to authorities in various positions in the Navy in particular and GAF in general, for instance in 2007 as the Commanding Officer (CO) and 2015 as the Fleet Officer Commanding (FOC) at the Eastern Naval Command (ENC).

Admiral Beick-Baffour commands the respect of many for his efficient administrative and great interpersonal relations skills.
