The Army Peace Operation Training School (APOTS), Ghana, has constructed an 80-seater capacity dining hall facility with kitchen and store attached, for use by the organic staff of the United Nations certified peace operations training Centre, through its Internally Generated Funds (IGF).

The facility was commissioned by the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, in the company of a host of other Army Generals such as; the Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics – Maj Gen Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu; Deputy Chief Staff Officer (DCSO), Army Logistics – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Kenneth Kweku Kwaah Kumi.
Others included the DCSO, Army Administration – Brig Gen Emmanuel Acheampong Baidoo; DCSO, Army Training – Brig Gen Frank Tei; Commander, and Army Training Command – Brig Gen Stephen Parbey.
Speaking to Peace Journal, the Commander, APOTS – Colonel Clement Dingane said, when he was appointed as commander, he realized that the Soldiers, after being served their meals, sit under trees, and eat in an open environment with flies contesting them, as there was no proper place to do so.

He thus, set out to provide for the facility for use by the organic staff of APOTS, whose staff strength is about a Company, through their internally generated funds, such as the water factory and others.
