The Army Recruit Mobile Training Team (ARMTT), now training at the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Nutekpor, in the Volta Region, has organized its Inter-Company Novices Boxing Competition for Recruits of the Basic Infantry Training Course 4/23.
The boxing contest took place at the NAVTRAC Square, from Monday 11 to Wednesday 13 December, 2023, with the Commanding Officer of the Team – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Evans Yaw Mensah Komedjah, admonishing the Recruits to continue to be disciplined, as the training draws closer to an end, stating that the competition was aimed at testing their mental fitness, and to help them acquire some combat skills.
At the awards, Charlie Company emerged as Winners with Alpha and Bravo Companies coming in Second and Third positions, respectively; Recruit Hayford Daniel was adjudged Best Male Boxer; Recruit Amponsah Rosemary won Best Female Boxer, Recruits Zoglie Kingsley and Addai Jacqueline were adjudged Male and Female Gallant Losers of the competition, respectively.
