ARMY SIGNS UNDERTAKING WITH NATIONAL HOCKEY & VOLLEYBALL ASSOC

The Ghana Army has signed an undertaking with the Ghana National Volleyball and Hockey Associations to release 15 volleyball and 17 Hockey Army players called to the National Teams. The event took place at the Army Headquarters in Burma Camp on Monday 17 July 2023.

The Deputy Chief Staff Officer (DCSO) in charge of Training and Operations at the Army Headquarters – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Frank Tei, led the Army Team to do the signing on behalf of the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) – Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah whilst the National Volleyball and Hockey Associations were led by their General Secretaries, Mr Alhassan Sumani and Ms Rita Odei, respectively.

The Army representatives included the Chief G7, Col GNA Dottey and the General Officer Grade II in charge of Physical Training and Sports (GSOII PT & Sports), Maj D Agalga. A Board Member and General Team Manager of the Ghana Volleyball Association, Mr Ahmed Bouda and an Executive Board Member of the Ghana Hockey Association among others were also present.

The COAS on behalf of the Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff wished sports personalities all the best with the National Teams.
