A Religious Induction Church Service has been held to induct Seven hundred and two (702) Recruits into Basic Infantry Training Course 1-23 of the Army Special Operations Training School (ASOTS), Daboya.
Preaching on the theme; “The Soldier’s Call”, on Sunday 08 October, 2023, Flight Lieutenant Gershon Dotse entreated the Recruits to always be loyal to God and to their Commanding Officer (CO), and to be selfless during their training, remaining steadfast in their faith.

The Garrison Imam – Abdul Rahim Yamusa, in his homily, urged the Recruits to be grateful to God for their admittance into ASOTS and to imbibe the spirit of unity.
Addressing the gathering as the Guest of Honour, the Command Operations Officer (COO), Northern Command (N/COMD) – Colonel (Col) Franklyn Worlanyo Agbebo, on behalf of the General Officer Commanding (GOC), N/COMD, congratulated the recruits for opting to heed to the national call of being a soldier.

He averred that only determination, commitment and dedication to the training would ensure they pass out successfully from the training, emphasizing on the need to show commitment to the tedious course, and to adhere to the rules of the institution.
Also present were the Chief Plans Officer, N/COMD – Col AY Owusu; Commander, Task Force Bawku – Col NAA Darkwa; and COs under N/COMD, as well as some distinguished invited guests and families of the Recruits.
