The African Union (AU) Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security – His Excellency (HE) Ambassador Adeoye Bankole has paid a day’s working visit to the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC).
HE Ambassador Adeoye Bankole visited the Economic Community of West African States’ (ECOWAS) prestigious Training Centre of Excellence (TCE), Teshie, Accra, on Monday 22 July 2024, with and entourage composed of Staff of the AU, and were received by the Commandant, KAIPTC – Major General (Maj Gen) Richard Addo Gyane.

Discussions during the visit centered on enhancing collaboration between the AU and KAIPTC, with HE Ambassador Bankole expressing his pride in the robust partnership between the Regional Body and the TCE, and highlighting the shared commitment to promote peace and security across the continent.
The AU is a key strategic partner of KAIPTC, and plays an essential role on the Centre’s Advisory Board, providing vital strategic advice to the Governing Board and executive management committee.
