AUSTRIA AND GHANA ARMED FORCES STRENGTHEN TIES

A high-level delegation from the Austrian Armed Forces, led by Austrian Ambassador to Ghana – His Excellency (HE) Jurgen Heissel, have paid a courtesy call on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, to bolster cooperation between the two armed forces, particularly in security, peace and stability in the West African sub-region.

The Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters – Major General (Maj Gen) Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu received the delegation at the General Headquarters on Thursday, 21 November 2024. on behalf of the CDS

HE Heissel reaffirmed Austria’s commitment to supporting the Ghana National Dog Academy, specifically in training personnel.

Maj Gen Osei-Owusu expressed gratitude for Austria’s support to GAF, particularly their donation of two trained dogs to the Ghana National Dog Academy.
