The Commanding Officer (CO), Base Workshop – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Bernard Nyameke, has presented eight (8) repaired vehicles to the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) – Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, as first batch of eleven (11) broken down Ghana Army (GA) vehicles and 3 motorbikes.

The cost of repairs of the vehicles – which were received on Tuesday, 10 January 2023, at the Forecourt of the Army Headquarters (AHQ), Burma Camp, in Accra – were funded by the Office of the COAS.
The repair of grounded vehicles for the GA, has been ongoing since the completion of Units’ Vehicle Needs Assessment ordered by the COAS on his assumption of Command, and formed part of his Quick Impact Project (QIP), to augment the vehicle-state of various Units of GA.
General Oppong-Peprah who expressed satisfaction with the results and committed to getting more resources for similar causes, said the vehicles would help enhance the operational effectiveness of the beneficiary Units who urgently require them, and that the initiative had proven successful.

Present at the event were the Chief Staff Officer at the Army Headquarters – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Charles Agyemang-Prempeh, the Deputy Chief Staff Officer (DCSO), Logistics – Brig Gen KKK Kumi, DCSO, Policy & Plans – Brig Gen CK Lithur, and Staff from the Army HQ and Base Workshop.
