The Boys/Junior Leaders Company has presented copies of a book titled “Literature on Boys/Junior Leaders Company”, and authored by Ex-Senior Warrant Officer (Ex SWO) Baafi Samuel, to the General Officer Commanding (GOC), Central Command (C/COMD) – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Michael Kwadwo Opoku.
The book, presented to the GOC at his office on Tuesday, 12 November 2024, provides a comprehensive history of the school since its inception in 1953, and details recruitment processes, training syllabi, intake groups, and the achievements of its alumni within the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

This publication aims to highlight the Boys/Junior Leaders Company’s significant contributions to the Ghana Armed Forces and the nation as a whole.
During the presentation, Ex-SWO Baafi Samuel expressed profound gratitude to Brig Gen Opoku for his unwavering support to the Boys/Junior Leaders Company in Kumasi, and stated that the idea for the book emerged during their 60th anniversary celebrations, especially after discovering a lack of historical documentation about their establishment at the Kumasi Military Museum.

In his remarks, Brig Gen Opoku praised the Boys/Junior Leaders Company for their impactful role in the GAF, acknowledging the importance of preserving their history for future generations, and said that the initiative not only enriches the legacy of the Company, but also an inspirations for current and future members, and therefore, urged soldiers to tap into their knowledge.
