The Director General, Human Resource (DGHR), Head of Personnel and Administration, General Headquarters (GHQ), GAF – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Albert Assiamah has handed over to the former Assistant Commandant (ASCOM), Senior Division, Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) – Air Commodore (A/Cdre) Thomas Nii Fio Okai.
Brig Gen A Assiamah, who took office of GAF’s Human Resources over a year ago, handed over the office on Thursday 15 May 2025 at his office, and assumes the position of the Deputy Commander, Support Services Command.
He called for the cooperation, hard work and support of the staff towards the new Director General for him to be successful, cautioning that “the Ghana Armed Forces is a small place”, hence one needs to put up their best to everyone who comes their way.
The following Directorates of GAF, have the HR Department as their Mother-Unit; Directorate of Band, Directorate of Education, Directorate of Resettlement, Directorate of Personnel Services; Directorate of Discipline, Directorate of Projects and Statistics, and Directorate of Manpower and Planning.
Present at the Director General’s office to witness the ceremony were; the Deputy Director General, Human Resource, GHQ – Colonel (Col) John Danso-Ankrah; Director, Manpower and Planning, GHQ, Personnel and Administration – Col Mathew Kwesi Asuka; and Director, Education, GHQ – Col Osman Sham-Un Zuneidu.
