Headquarters Central Command (C/COMD) of the Ghana Army organized a 5-day cadre on Minor Staff Duties and Basic Intelligence for Clerks and Operational team of the Command to teach participants new conventions in the Army for them to be professional and up-to-date with modern trends of technological advancement, in line with their duties.
The cadre took place at the Conference Room of the Command from Monday, 11 September to Friday, 15 September 2023, with lessons taught during the 5-day cadre including Intelligence gathering, use of social media, service writing, document security, physical security, cyber security, report writing, briefing and security issues, among others.

In his opening remarks during the opening ceremony, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) C/COMD – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Charles Agyemang-Prempeh, advised the participants to be meticulous, stating that the clerks and the Operations team were next to do the work, when the Officer was unavailable.
The Command Operations Officer (COO) – Colonel (Col) Henry Ansah-Akrofi, speaking at the closing ceremony on behalf of the GOC, indicated that participants should serve as good ambassadors in their respective units and educate their colleagues on what they have learnt.
He advised them to be mindful of how they handled information at the offices and be cautious in information management to protect the service, and mentioned that the operational aspect of the Ghana Armed Forces, hinges on intelligence gathering, and thus charged personnel to put their ears on the ground to deal with threats that the country may confront.
