CAPT V ABBEY (RTD) DONATES TO BARWAH BARRACKS BASIC SCHOOL

In a heartwarming gesture of support for child education, Captain (Capt) Victor Abbey (Rtd) has donated some educational items and stationery to the Barwah Barracks Basic School in Tamale.

The donation on Wednesday 19 June 2024, which included notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, amongst other essential supplies, aimed to enhance the learning experience for the pupils.

Capt Abbey (Rtd), who served with the 69 Airborne Force in various capacities expressed his motivation behind the donation by stating that, “Education is the foundation of our future. By supporting the young minds at the Basic School, I hope to give back to the community that has given me so much during my service”.

He further urged the final year students preparing for their Basic Education Certificate Examination, to leave no stone unturned in their preparations towards the exams, in order to come out with flying colours.

The Commanding Officer (CO) 69 Airborne Force – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Louis Yaw Boakye on behalf of the Airborne Fratenity, Staff and Pupils of Barwah Barracks School, thanked the donor for the kind gesture, and noted that each item donated would contribute to the growth and success of the pupils.
