The Ghana Navy Supply Base (GNSB) has held a Handing/Taking Over ceremony for the helm of leadership of the Unit to change from Commanding Officer (CO) – Commander (Cdr) Prosper Cudjoe Korto, to Cdr Sabina Adjoa Amoa Dennison.

Supervising the change of authority event on Friday 7 February 2025, in Takoradi, Rear Admiral (R/Adm) Samuel Agyenim-Boateng – Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS), General Headquarters (GHQ), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), spoke highly of the growth and transformation of the GNSB over the years.

Admiral Agyenim-Boateng continued to say that the continuous development of GNSB is a testament to the dedication of its leadership and personnel.

Of the outgone CO, he said his tenure has been marked by significant progress and infrastructural development, for under his command, the Matambo building was reconstructed, and the Regulating Office is currently under construction, as a sign of his commitment to improving the operational efficiency of GNSB, in strengthening the logistical backbone of GN.

R/Adm S Agyenim-Boateng extolled the well-acknowledged expertise, dedication, and commitment-to-service attitude of the new CO – Cdr SAA Dennison, and stated that the success of her tenure would depend on her ability to inspire, coordinate, and ensure efficiency in logistics operations, and thus urged her to be focused, uphold high standards, and build on the achievements of her predecessor.

Cdr PC Korto, who incidentally started his military career from the GNSB as a Rating, and moves on to assume a new role as the Command Supply Officer of the Western Naval Command (WNC), passionately appealed to forebears of the Unit and beneficiaries of the output of GN, to help secure sponsors, to transform the Unit.
