The Executive Committee of the Retired Commissioned Officers Association (RCOA) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has applauded the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) for his well deserved promotion and appointment.
They said this when the Association, led by its President – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Samuel Yanyi-Akorfur (Rtd), visited the CDS, Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, on Wednesday 27 March 2024.

The Executives also took the opportunity to discuss issues of concern to the Association, and encouraged the CDS to remain focused on his objectives, in order to deliver the needed peace and security for the country, in the upcoming elections.
Brig Gen Yanyi-Akorfur recalled the enormous support the Association enjoyed from the CDS when he was the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS).
Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah thanked them for the goodwill and assured them of his commitment to support the association to grow, and also stated that the operational and training requirements needed for the safety of the GAF, will be provided.
