The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Major General (Maj Gen) William Agyapong, paid his maiden visit to the Army Headquarters (AHQ) on Wednesday 2 April 2025, to familiarize himself with the operations of the Headquarters.
He was welcomed by the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) – Maj Gen Lawrence Kwaku Gbetanu, who briefed him and his entourage on the Headquarters’ Operational, Logistical and Administrative state of the Army, as well as its challenges.
Maj Gen Agyapong on his part, congratulated Maj Gen Gbetanu on his appointment, pledged his full support and expressed confidence in his leadership.
During the visit, the CDS also inspected the ongoing AHQ office complex project and committed to aiding its completion in the coming months.
