The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, joined the Commander-in-Chief (C-in-C), GAF (who was the Guest of Honour), and Officials of Government, to witness the 41st Ceremonial Guard Changing parade at the Jubilee House.
The parade, which took place on Monday, 16 September 2024, was also witnessed by Ghana’s Ministers for Defence and of Interior, Chief of Staff at the Presidency, the Inspector General of Police Service, Service Commanders and Principal Staff Officers of GAF.
The quarterly ceremony saw the Ghana Air Force hand over responsibility to the Ghana Army, emphasizing the importance of alertness, readiness and maximum security at the seat of government.
Also present at the ceremony were Sergeant Majors of GAF, pupils and students from selected schools.
