The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has led a high powered delegation to commiserate with a former Minister for Defence and Interior – Dr Kwame Addo Kufour, following the demise of his son, late Kwame Addo Kufour Junior on Wednesday 4 December 2024 at his residence in Accra.
Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah on behalf of Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff extended his heartfelt condolence to the family and pledged the support of GAF to his family.

The late Kwame Addo-Kufuor Junior was a Ghanaian finance and mining executive who passed away on 28 November 2024.
He had a distinguished career, serving as the president of the Ghana Chamber of Mines and the first president of the General Assembly of the ECOWAS Federation of Chambers of Mines.

He was also a successful businessman, holding various leadership positions, including Director, Vice President of corporate affairs and Head of Finance for AngloGold Ashanti’s West Africa Operations.
