CDS PERFORMS 1ST CEREMONIAL DUTY TO C-IN-C

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah performed his first ceremonial Aide-De-Camp duties to the Commander-in-Chief and President of the Republic of Ghana – His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, when he delivered his penultimate State of the Nation Address to the Parliament House.

The CDS, ceremonially paired with the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of the Ghana Police Service – Dr George Akuffo Dampare, to perform the colourful ceremonial duties of the 2024 State of the Nation Address was delivered to the House of at Parliament on Tuesday, 27 February 2024.

Prior to, and after the address, the C-in-C was served with a military Guard-of-Honour at the forecourt of the Parliament House, with the presence of the Vice President of Ghana; the Speaker of Parliament; the Chief Justice of the Judiciary Service; Members of Parliament, Ministers of State, and many other dignitaries.
