The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah, has suggested to the First Atlantic Bank Ltd that a policy be developed between the bank and GAF to secure buildings for troops who are due for pension, through mortgages or other avenues.
He made the call when a delegation from the Bank paid a courtesy call on him at Burma Camp, Accra, on Wednesday, 10 July 2024.

He posited that there was the need for the bank to embark on extensive Corporate Social Responsibility activities in the GAF to strengthen the existing relationship between both institutions.
General Oppong-Peprah also encouraged cooperation between GAF and First Atlantic Bank for mutual benefits.

The Executive Director of First Atlantic Bank – Mr Daniel Marfo, on his part, congratulated the CDS on his elevation to the highest rank and appointment in GAF.
He assured that the company would engage GAF for the mutual benefit of both institutions.
