The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah has described the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) as a reliable partner to the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) so far as academic institutions of the military were concerned.
He made the declaration when he called on the Administrator of GETFUND, Dr Richard Boadu at his office on Thursday, 4 April 2024.
The CDS commended GETFUND for the enormous assistance extended to military academic institutions over the years. He therefore stated his willingness to enhance the cooperation between the two institutions, especially in the setting up of the National Defense University.
The GETFUND Administrator, congratulated the CDS on his appointment and assured of his commitment to strengthening the existing relationship between them by assisting the military achieve its goals in enhancing higher learning.
