CNS INSPECTS ONGOING MULTIPLE WORKS AT NAVTRAC

The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) – Rear Admiral (R/Adm) Seth Amoama, has paid a working visit to the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) of the Ghana Navy, located at Nutekpor, near Sogakope, in the Volta Region, to inspect progress of works ongoing in that Command.

The purpose of the visit by the venerable Admiral, which was on Thursday, 13th August 2020, was to assess the works at the Command and to help set completion dates for the projects, so as to plan for their commissioning.

The projects inspected were the NAVTRAC Headquarters Block, a 240-room Accommodation for students, School of Maritime Operations (SMOPS), Library, Hospital, Instructors’ Accommodation, Naval Recruit Training School (NRTS) Administrative Block, Walling of the 110 Hectares of NAVTRAC and the construction of all internal roads.

The CNS expressed his appreciation of the projects’ consultant and all the contractors, for their high-quality work and healthy competition, as he admired their determination to meet the time lines for the construction, which is September 2020, irrespective of COVID-19 disruptions.
