The visit also underscored the importance of fostering strong relationships and enhancing operational readiness of the Command.

At C/COMD HQ, whiles the COAS assessed current operational strategies of the Command and explored opportunities for optimization and advancement, he engaged in high-level discussions with appointment holders, emphasizing the relevance of collaboration and synergy in addressing evolving security challenges within their Area of Operation.

At a durbar with All Ranks, the General commended personnel for their hard work and dedication to duty, and also advised personnel to eschew unprofessional behaviours that have the tendency to put the image and reputation of the Command into disrepute.
Maj Gen Onwona further urged them to be disciplined, loyal, diligent and professional in the discharge of their duties and assured them of his support, and to “Work as a team, not as enemies”.
As part of his itinerary, the COAS paid courtesy calls on the Asantehene – Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, and the Ashanti Regional Minister – Mr Simon Osei-Mensah, to officially introduce himself, and to strengthen existing relationships.
