COMMANDER, 16 ARTILLERY BRIGADE CALLS ON CDS GAF

Acting Commander, 16 Artillery Brigade (16 Arty Bde) – Colonel (Col) Selorm Amengor, led an entourage from Ghana Army’s Artillery Brigade, to pay a courtesy visit to the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah.

The visit, on Tuesday 19 November 2024, at the General Headquarters, was to express gratitude to the CDS for his visionary leadership and support, in expanding the Artillery Regiment into a Brigade, during his tenure as Chief of the Army Staff. (COAS).

Col Amengor also commended Lt Gen T Oppong-Peprah’s initiative, which paved the way for the Brigade’s establishment.

On his part, Lt Gen Oppong-Peprah underscored the importance of teamwork, and acknowledged the COAS, Ghana Army – Major General Bismarck Kwasi Onwona’s crucial role in bringing the Brigade to fruition.

The CDS encouraged them to strive for success in the face of challenges repeating his now well-famed mantra; “There will always be a thousand reasons why something cannot be done, but there would always be one reason why it can be done. Look for that reason”.

He again called upon his guests to demonstrate commitment and professionalism, which he emphasized, were vital to achieving success.
