Students of Basic Weapon Fitter Course 1-2025 (BWFC 1-25) of Ghana Armed Forces’ (GAF) Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Technical Training School (EMETTS) paid a familiarization visit to the 66 Artillery Regiment (66 Arty Regt) and the Artillery Training School (ATRS).
The aim of the visit on Friday 11 April 2025, was to introduce the students – Who were led by the Commanding Officer, EMETTS – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Emmanuel Essilfi Odoom to the operations of the Regiment, and educate them on the Artillery prowess of GAF.

As part of the visit, the students were taken through lectures on the history, organization and the role of the Regiment by Lt Mubarak Ziblila Adama, who also enlightened the students on the operations, functions and their weapon systems.
The students were also briefed on the 105mm and 122mm Howitzers, 122mm Mantruck, 107mm and 122mm MRLS, after which there was display of guns with extensive lectures, to offer practical insight into equipment usage of the various guns in GAF.
