Ernest Chemists Ltd, one of the pharmaceutical giants in Ghana, have donated quantities of medication to the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL) Ghana Battalion 86 (GHANBATT 86), to help with their humanitarian efforts, when they take the stage later in the year, in the peacekeeping mission in Lebanon.
At a short ceremony at the pharmaceutical company’s Head Office at Nesta Square in Accra, Dr Joseph Mireku made the presentation on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr Ernest Bediako Sampong and the pharmaceutical company to Major (Maj) Eric Abiti, who represented the Commanding Officer (CO) of the Battalion – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Abass Atuluk.
Maj Abiti, after receiving the medical products on behalf of the Battalion, thanked the Management of the Ernest Chemists for their kind gesture of products which included pain killers, antihistamines and antibiotics, which come from the pharmaceutical company’s range of products.
Other donors who had earlier made generous presentations of pharmaceutical products for the preparations of the battalion are Tobinco Pharmacy, Danadams Pharmacy, M&G Pharmacy and Pharmanova Ltd.
Others present at the presentation were Solomon Ohene Owusu and Sharon Anim – the Human Resource and Brands Communication Managers of Ernest Chemists, respectively, while Major Solomon Ocran – GHANBATT Pharmacist and Captain Diana Duker – Civilian-Military Cooperation Officer, represented the Battalion.[vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”1246,1247,1248,1245″]
