Force Commander (FC), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMBG) – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Edward Odinya Ojabo has paid a familiarization visit to the Ghana Company 4 (GHANCOY 4) of the Mission.
On his visit on Tuesday 5 August 2025, at the GHANCOY Camp, Bissau, the FC inspected a Quarter Guard in his honour, before meeting with the Combat team Commander (CTC), GHANCOY 4 – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Isaac Keelson Ekow Amoah, and Key Appointment Holders of the Ghanaian contingent, ahead of his engagement with All Ranks of the GHANCOY.
Interacting with the troops, the FC seized the opportunity to formally usher the new GHANCOY into the mission, praised GHANCOY 3 for executing their duties professionally, and admonished the CTC to brace for impact, as the role of the GHANCOY in the mission is very critical.
General EO Ojabo also urged the CTC to prioritize the welfare of his troops, in order to engender a successful tour of duty.
As their custom is in the Ghana Armed Forces, in honouring their visitors, Lt Col IKE Amoah presented honorarium to the FC.
