ESSMGB GHANCOY 3 HOLDS INDUCTION RELIGIOUS PARADE FOR COMMANDER

Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Gabriel Mawuli Agboado has been inducted into office as Combat Team Commander (CTC) of the Ghanaian Company 3 (GHANCOY 3) serving the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMGB).

The ceremony held on Sunday 25 August 2024, under the theme: “Um Povo, Uma Missao, One People, One Mission” marked the successful insertion of GHANCOY 3 into their Area of Operational Responsibility.

The ceremony, a sacred tradition of committing personnel and activities of the mission into the care of the Almighty God, was climaxed with an induction Religious Parade held at the GHANCOY Headquarters in Guinea-Bissau.

The Chaplain – Captain (Capt) Richmond Nii Armarh Kwei-Nsoro, in his homily, mentioned that, though troops hail from diverse backgrounds, All Ranks have to work together to achieve the Mission’s Mandate.

Lt Col GM Agboado expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity given him by God, to serve with the Colours, and gave special thanks to the Military High Command.

The Guest of Honor for the occasion – Chief, Administration and Logistics (J1J4), at the Force Headquarters – Lt Col Ahedor, urged all troops to come together as a united force, to discharge their duties diligently, in achieving the mission mandate.

Other dignitaries present at the service were the Deputy Coordinator, Formed Police Unit of the Mission, and other nationals under ESSMGB.
