To strengthen the existing relationship between the Ghanaian Company serving with the ECOWAS Stabilisation Support Mission in Guinea-Bissau (ESSMGB GHANCOY 1) and the people of Bissau, the GHANCOY has organized a free medical outreach for members of the Church of Pentecost (COP) in Hafia, Guinea-Bissau.

The Local Community Engagement (LCE) which took place on the Thursday, 20 April 2023, saw the medical team providing free medical services, comprising of free health talks, consultation, laboratory check-ups, diagnosis and administration of free medications to 170 people – both members and non-members of the COP, the GHANCOY Senior Medical Officer (SMO) – Major Nelson Ampah said.
The Head Pastor of the Church of Pentecost in Guinea-Bissau – Reverend (Rev) Seth Attah-Baffour who was the host, expressed great joy and gratitude to the leadership of GHANCOY, particularly to the Combat Team Commander (CT Comd) – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) David Korsah for the initiative and his continuous commitment to medical support to the Bissau community.

Rev Attah-Baffour reiterated that this kind gesture would go a long way to cement the existing relationship between the people of Bissau and GHANCOY, as well as the entire ESSMGB mission.
