FIDELITY BANK GIVES TO FPR, ON FIRST 100-DAYS OF CO

Fidelity Bank Ghana Ltd has presented an amount of Fifty Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC50,000) to the Forces Pay Regiment (FPR) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), to strengthen the relation between the bank and the FPR.

Madam Nana Esi Idan – Head, Retail Banking, Fidelity Bank Ghana, making the presentation to the Commanding Officer (CO), FPR – Colonel (Col) Miki Adusei Nkrumah on Thursday 30 May 2024, said the presentation serves as a token to support the activities of the Regiment.

She said the bank has been working with GAF for so long that the two institutions have become family, and that the donation serves as an appreciation for GAF’s business and customer-ship to the bank.

She assured that in Fidelity Bank, the FPR has a partner that will continue to work to support the Regiment, ensuring of a relationship that is mutually beneficial to both institutions.

In his reception of the donation, the CO, who took over command of the PFR on 23 February, 2024, said upon assumption of office, Fidelity Bank visited the FPR, and a request to help the Regiment with office equipment was made to them, and their response is the donation of the amount of GHS 50,000.

Incidentally, the presentation happened on the penultimate day to 100-days of the CO, FPR – Col MA Nkrumah assuming command, and has continued from where his predecessor left off, initiating transformative projects, and receiving enormous support from the Unit and friends of the FPR.

Below are the exploits of Col MA Nkrumah, within 100-days of assuming the leadership of the FPR:

    12) Electronic type writer for NE and Accountant General (1 each), 13) Microwave and kettle for guardroom, 14) Donation to WO1 Ampedu, 15) Donation to Lt Col Attu-Buameh, 16) Purchase of a new motorbike, 17) Acquisition of a new vehicle, 18) Construction of new Archive, 19) Construction of Remittance Annex, 20) Construction of 3A.

    21) Donation from Hisense, 22) Donation of food items by PhilBro (Nana), 23) Purchase of ladder, 24) Dredging of gutter at Chiringa Barracks, 25) Improvement of water supply at Chinese Quarters, 26. Purchase of a new mower, water holes and shares for the grass 27. Purchase of a new organ for the band 28. Computers for Archives, 3A, 3B and 3C (1 each).
    29) Calculators and adding machine for personal, 30) Provision of cleaning materials for all groups, 31) Air-condition (2) for Chinese Quarters, 32) Purchase of Printer for Groups 3A, 3B and 3C, 33) Increasing funeral donations to GHC500, 34) Introduction of hospital visit, 35) Acquisition of parcel of land behind the Unit, 36) Construction of a new fence wall.

    37) Installation of automated gate at Main Entrance to Unit, 38) Donation of 5 computers to GHQ (DIT), 39) Computers for the groups (30pcs), 40) Mobile phone for guardroom, 41) 8 new ACs for Group 2, 42) 10 new Air-conditioners for 3A, 43) A new Air-conditioner for the kitchen, 44) Tiling of Group 2.

    Donations received so far are; 1) Philip Brobbey – rice, oil & spaghetti, 2) Hisense – 3 refrigerators, 3 televisions sets and air-conditioners, 3) Services Integrity Savings and Loans – 5 computers, 5 UPS, 2 photocopy machines, work station, air-conditioners, 4) Next Computers – a printer and computer, 5) Fidelity Bank – GHC50,000, 6) Blu Finance – 2 Air conditioners.
