The Force Commander (FC), Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Stabilization Support Mission in Guinea Bissau (ESSMGB) – Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Idongesit Uko Akpan has visited the ESSMGB Ghana Company 3 (GHANCOY 3), as part of his Operational visits.
The aim of the visit on 22nd August 2024, was to familiarize himself with the Operational, Logistics and Administrative matters of the GHANCOY, as well as to formally introduce himself to the troops.
The FC expressed his satisfaction with the operations of the GHANCOY, and the warm reception that was accorded him and his Staff Officers.
Speaking on behalf of the Officers and Troops of GHANCOY 3, the Combat Team Commander of ESSMGB GHANCOY 3 – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Gabriel Mawuli Agboado gave him a brief on Operational, Logistics and Administrative matters, and further thanked the FC for his continuous support.
Brig Gen IU Akpan also interacted with the troops, and commended them for showing a high level of professionalism over the period.
