FRENCH AMBASSADOR TO GHANA CALLS ON GAF CDS

The French Ambassador to Ghana – His Excellency (HE) Jules-Armand Aniambossou, has reiterated Ghana’s strategic partnership with France, and that the cooperation between the Armed Forces of both countries is an effective one, which focuses on mutual benefits.

Ambassador Aniambossou said this when he called on the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra, on Tuesday, 16 2024.

The Ambassador further called for the two countries to deepen their cooperation, in issues of Defence and Security.

The CDS in his remarks, highlighted the longstanding relationship between Ghana and France, adding that, the collaboration between the GAF and the French military is important for security in the Sub-region.

He therefore expressed his commitment to strengthening their cooperation in the areas of training and capacity building for personnel of the GAF.
