The Chaplaincy of the Ghana Armed Forces’ (GAF) 4 Garrison, leading various Units and churches within the Command, performed carols and renditions of gospel songs, to mark the 2024version of Nine Lessons and Carols Night, for personnel and their families.

The event was held on Wednesday, 18 December, 2024, at the 4 Garrison Methodist and Presbyterian Church auditorium, Uaddara Barracks, Kumasi.

The guest preacher, and Head Pastor, Police Church Kumasi – Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Jonas Aboagye, delivered a poignant homily highlighting the goodness of God, emphasizing that Jesus Christ came to this Earth to guide humanity, in understanding God’s ways and to offer eternal life.

ACP Aboagye encouraged personnel to embrace the Christmas season as an opportunity to express gratitude for God’s mercies and protection over the past year.

Brigadier General (Brig Gen) Michael Kwadwo Opoku – General Officer Commanding (GOC), Central Command (C/COMD), commended the personnel for their dedication and professionalism throughout 2024.

He urged them to take their religious obligations seriously and maintain a close relationship with their Maker, after which he took the opportunity to praise the spouses of personnel, encouraging them to continue demonstrating love and support for their husbands and children.
