The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) together with its sister Security Services, schools and all other institutions in the Eastern Region of Ghana, are preparing in earnest for Ghana’s upcoming 67th Independence Anniversary Parade, which will be held in Koforidua, the Regional Capital.
In line with this, the Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), GAF – Lieutenant General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, led a delegation from the Military High Command, to witness one of the rehearsals on Saturday, 2 March 2024, at the newly-constructed 5000-seater Youth Resource Centre in Koforidua.
The CDS also took the opportunity to visit the accommodation of troops, inspected the facilities and administrative arrangements put in place for welfare of troops, during the period, and expressed satisfaction with preparations so far, and urged all to work hard to ensure a successful parade on Wednesday 6th of March.
