GAF CDS DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO BURMA CAMP AL-AZIZ MOSQUE

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS), Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Major General (Maj Gen) William Agyapong, has donated food items to Muslims at the Al-Aziz mosque at Burma Camp, Accra on Friday, 28 March 2025 to mark the end of the Ramadan fasting period.

The donation, made by the Chief of Staff (COS) at the General Headquarters (GHQ) – Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Joshua Lartei Mensah-Larkai, on behalf of the CDS, included bags of rice, cartons of sugar, gallons of oil, cartons of Lipton tea, sardines, and mackerel as well as a cash token.

AVM JL Mensah-Larkai expressed gratitude to the Muslim community for their prayers and support during the month of Ramadan which had contributed to the peace and stability of the GAF and the nation as a whole.

The Chief Imam of GAF – Lieutenant Colonel Najmudeen Agbere Mohammed, who received the donation, thanked high command for the kind gesture, and prayed for continued peace and stability in the country.

The donation by the CDS demonstrates GAF’s commitment to fostering positive relationships with the Muslim community and promoting interfaith harmony.
