GAF CDS INSPECTS ONGOING PROJECTS AT BURMA CAMP

The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah has inspected some ongoing projects in Burma Camp.

The projects inspected on Thursday, 6 June 2024, include the reconstruction of a modernized Command Gate Guard room, which now houses 2 rooms for the guards, a resting area for the guard commander, 5 toilet facilities and 3 washrooms.

He also inspected the renovation and painting of the Department of Public Relations offices and the installation of new office workstations, televisions and air conditioners in the offices.

He further inspected the ongoing construction of stamping slabs at the pedestrian walkway at Nicholson Stadium, and the forecourts of 5 Garrison Education Office to the Slater Mess area, the construction of a new bus station at the Supply Bus Stop and the renovation of the CDS’ Reception.

These ongoing projects formed part of the CDS’ commitment to his vision which is “To produce a highly motivated, well-trained and well-equipped Armed Forces with quality Officers, Soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff to perform all assigned tasks.”
