GAF EMERGENCY HOSPITAL PREPS FOR 1ST ICU PATIENT

The Acting Commanding Officer (CO), Ghana Armed  Forces Critical Care and Emergency Hospital (GAFCCEH) – Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Richard Otchere Mintah, has held his maiden durbar of All Ranks, and outlined plans to maintain the hospital’s operational readiness, and to admit the first Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patient by the first week in September, 2024.

The maiden Durbar was held on Friday 30 August 2024, at the hospital, Burma Camp, Accra, with Lt Col RO Mintah commending all staff for their hard work, profesionalism and sacrifices in bringing the formation to its current state of operational readiness.

The CO urged his troops to maintain and improve on the level of discipline, as his command addresses welfare matters, adding that his command is in touch with higher command, to issue GAFCCEH with a mini van to aid in operations.

He further spoke of efforts to provide lighting for the inner perimeter, extra staff and backup water supply, assuring the troops of the Military High Command’s support of the Unit’s efforts to address their pressing concerns.
