The Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) – Major General (Maj Gen) Thomas Oppong-Peprah was welcomed to the office on his first day with a colourful Guard of Honour parade, at the Forecourt of the Office of the CDS building, General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra.
The CDS after inspecting the Honour Guard, which marked the commencement of his tour of duty on Monday 5 February 2024, exchanged pleasantries with Service Commanders, Chief of Staff, Deputy Chiefs of Staff, Formation Commanders, Directors General and very Senior Officers present.
He called on all to support him to successfully deliver the mandate of the armed forces.
