A high-powered Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) delegation, led by its Chief of the Defence Staff (CDS) – General Thomas Oppong-Peprah visited Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Augustine Blay (Rtd) – a former CDS, and his family, to commiserate with them on the sudden passing of his wife – Mrs Edna Ama Blay.
The GAF entourage on Friday, 31 January 2025 at Airport Hills, included the Chief of the Army Staff – Lieutenant General (Lt Gen) Bismarck Kwasi Onwona; Chief of the Naval Staff – Vice Admiral Issah Adam Yakubu; Chief of the Air Staff – Air Marshal Frederick Asare Kwasi Bekoe; and the Chief of Staff, General Headquarters – Lt Gen Joseph Prince Osei-Owusu.
Gen Oppong-Peprah, on behalf of Officers, Soldiers, and Defence Civilian Staffs, expressed his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family, assuring them of the GAF’s support in giving Mrs Blay a befitting burial.
